Professional Learning Communities

This is my first blog. I really do not understand what I am doing. I am working on my masters degree and this is one of the assignments. I am starting a blog about teaching and Professional Learning Communities. A PLC is a way of collaborating with colleagues about what is happening in your classroom. Colleagues give suggestions and brainstorm help for specific challenges you are facing. One of the challenges I face is that I teach In School Suspension. I want to be creative and inventive as I teach, but making ISS fun is not a good idea. I am trying to come up with creative ideas for students in ISS, but not so exciting that they want to come to ISS. Also, they have to be silent and stay in their seats. They are not allowed to work in groups. Does anyone have any ideas?
